The Advanced Document Loader (the only tool that supports uploading individual files to multiple employee records) is a Windows-only .exe file, making it completely unusable for anyone on a Mac. A web-based bulk upload tool that maps individual files to employee records would solve this.
| Describe the Challenge | We've just migrated to PeopleHR and have a large volume of historic documents that need uploading to individual employee records. The only bulk method that supports one unique file per employee is the Advanced Document Loader — but it's a Windows .exe and we're on Macs, so we can't use it at all. The Email Inbox feature doesn't save attachments, Bulk Actions only supports uploading the same document to multiple employees, and the Google Docs add-on is capped at 10 employees at a time. For a new customer with a significant backlog of historic documents, there is currently no practical solution. A web-based version of the Document Loader, or a CSV-mapped bulk upload tool in the browser, would fix this completely. |
