Set up a rule on a query to export the data in a certain format

We used the SFTP Exporter plug-in to allow us to export data directly to a location using SFTP, however, the exported data does not match the template that is required to be used for the other location due to the way the data in the query is formatted.

Is it possible to explore whether you could apply rules to the query in People HR so that it spits out the data from a query to match the columns in a template file?
