Can we have salary and start date merge tags as an option in the ATS template

I would like to sent offer letters from the ATS once a candidate has accepted the job offer, however there is currently no option to add salary and start date a merge tags?

The templates in the ATS do now allow salary or start date tags making it a challenge to produce offer letters through this part of the system
