The logbook screen is not very clear when you first open.
If you are not specifically instructed to click on the drop down to go into the correct category it can seem like there is not logbook to complete.
We have had this feedback from our colleagues as we have recently launched the the business and started to get them using ripples/ logbooks.

We have also found that employees are very confused about the logbook screen and constantly ask how to use it. It needs to be more intuitive.
As a work around to make the system more user friendly we have created our own *Menu* logbook, named as such o be the first logbook visible. We have a logbook entry that displays text in the only selected display list to say about selecting a logbook on the right hand side drop down menu - we have to remember during set up to add this logbook to very user but be beneficial if automatic
if given the option to create folders would be more user friendly
