When an employee goes into their "Logbook" area the first thing they see is "no logbook screen found". This immediately puts them off and they think there isn't a logbook available to complete, they come back to us and tell us it's not there and it's a lot of wasted time back and forth explaining how to access a logbook. Could the message be amended so it says "Select the logbook you require from the drop down menu" or change the view completely so it's more user friendly?
Describe the Challenge | Less wasted time from employee queries on where logbooks are and how to complete them |
We think it would be useful to be able to view all logbooks for an employee.
We have this issue too where employees are not entirely fully focussed on finding something, and give up rather easily. The message could say something more specific, as it opens the first item on the drop-down as the default screen, maybe it can so "no 1-2-1s to show" or whatever the first drop down is. That way they don't assume nothing is there, they see that one specific thing is not there and look more closely to find the drop-down menu. Or don't display the bigger white box until something is selected from the drop-down menu.
This would be a great feature as we currently use a workaround of setting a menu logbook which displays instructions immediately as the first logbook on how to navigate - have to remember to assign during start up process though.
The actual logbook functionality is great, but I agree with the person who raised this idea. I spend so much time telling people how to start using a logbook as it's not intuitive. If that process was easier it would make my life easier!
Hi there,
Thanks for your suggestion! I'm Maria, a Product Manager in the PeopleHR. I'm currently reviewing our logbook features to see how we can make them better, and your feedback is really helpful. I've opened this idea up for voting to get more insights and make sure we include it in our analysis.
Thanks again,
Maria
