When adding an 'other event' to the planner, I don't think the employee's status should be changed to 'On Leave' for example, if the other event is an office day or they are visiting a customer or warehouse, they aren't actually on leave. It would be beneficial for this status to change depending on the other event reason.
Describe the Challenge | Not to show an employee's status as on leave when they are still working. |
Hi Cornel,
Thank you very much for the reply, will be a great addition as Microsoft Teams for example shows the Outlook status of OOO and if still working causes some difficulty.
Thanks again and all the best!

Hello Alex,
We haven't done yet any changes around iCal integration (Out Of Office entry in Outlook for Other Events)
We are going to consider this for the future development and skip the Other Events of Type "Working" from showing OOO.
Kind regards,
Cornel.
Hi All,
Apologies if this question has already been answered, will this effect the Outlook integration as all Other Events current show as Out of Office in Outlook - Could this be amended if not already for Working Other Events please? Thank you!
Hello everyone,
We have just deployed an enhancement to "Other Events" in PeopleHR to production.
Other Events – Options to Allocate Time: Leave vs Working
This update allows you to specify if the time for each Other Event Reason is 'Working' (e.g., Work From Home, Customer Visits) or 'Leave' (e.g., Childcare, Wellness Programs).
The release note available here: https://accessgroup.my.site.com/Support/s/article/PeopleHR-Web-release-notes-23-July-2024
The feature is explained here: https://accessgroup.my.site.com/Support/s/article/PeopleHR-Set-up-an-other-event
Video version available here:
https://vimeo.com/986323404/1060cd4d0d?share=copy
Note that the authorization layer for "Working" events was also covered as part of this feature.
Since the feature involved high-complexity refactoring of the "Other Events," please report any gaps, and we will consider them for future development.
Best regards,

Hello everyone,
Thank you for submitting your request.
Indeed the highlighted behaviour is a missing functionaliy highlighted by multiple customers here https://peoplehr.ideas.aha.io/ideas/APHR-I-80.
We are aiming to enhance People HR in the future, in order to close this gap. Some changes in this direction are already planned in the roadmap.
Please check the linked idea and mention your use case in the "Comments" area.
