Currently, employees on fixed term contracts have their annual leave calculated until the end of the year, like all employees. We have to manually change this by calculating their AL to their end date. If not, they would believe they have more AL than actually entitled to. However, when put through as a Leaver, the Leaver Wizard displays that they have gone over their entitlement, therefore having to manually change the entitlement back to the end of year calculation to get the correct amount.
With the end date, PeopleHR should be able to calculate without having to manually adjust this.
| Describe the Challenge | It's time consuming, and gives false annual leave entitlements. |
Agreed, I was just about to add this as an enhancement idea. This system not calculating holiday allowance based on fixed term contract has allowed an employee to book more holidays than they are actually entitled to. The AI suggestion is to start the leavers wizard for the fixed term employee and the system will calculate their actual allowance, it doesn't seem efficient, especially if the leave date is late in the year or changes and the leaver wizard tasks are created without the option to change date or assigned to.
Absolutely agree with this, its a very clunky process and I'm manually calculating holiday entitlement for all
Completely agree with this request. A large percentage of employees are on fixed-term contracts and we need the annual leave to calculate to that date not the end of the year to save error and overbooking by employees and save time for HR for having to set all on Leaver wizard s soon as joining.
