Have the option for "test" employees

Currently we have test employees that we use when pulling queries and testing new processes. This way our payroll systems and ripples/processes don't get interrupted by changing our own profiles (HR team) when testing.

We believe there should be an option to have employees be considered "Test Employees" so that they are automatically excluded from the org chart/queries/etc, but have the option to include them in queries like the "Include Leavers" option currently available. That way they can be out of sight when we don't need them, but can be include when testing processes.

Describe the Challenge Enabling test employees would allow us to run tests more efficiently without messing around with our own profiles

This would be really helpful, as we often have to set up a "test" person. In regard to it skewing report data - could it be an option to add and delete it as needed - so you run the test and then delete it. And add it next time you need to check something out. That way it wouldn't skew the figures. ?

Whilst it is fairly simple to exclude test candidates from queries, it proves more challenging in terms of the pre made reports on "staff turnover", "top facts about our company". The organisational chart also seems to include anyone "live" on the system and so test candidates are included in these. Having a test profile is invaluable when testing ripples, new processes etc but can slightly skew numbers/require data to be cleansed more thoroughly.

Have a TEST EMPLOYEE set up so you can check actions before they're actioned on real staff. Also, they should be included in stats, queries, reports, or chargeable as another user.
