Ideally, employees would be displayed on organisational charts, directories and other colleague-facing areas using their preferred name, as this reflects how they wish to be known in the workplace. The system also retains a clear record of the employee's legal first name in the 'personal' tab.

Agreed - we need the full name for the payroll integration but even searching for people now is a pain as this isn't how they want to be known and so doesn't match our email list
