A clean monthly view showing all employees down the left and dates across the top, with leave displayed as coloured blocks — similar to tools like Timetastic (see screenshot). This would sit alongside the existing Planner as an alternative view toggle, not replace it.
| Describe the Challenge | The current heatmap-style Planner is difficult to interpret at a glance when managing leave across a whole team. To get a full team overview you have to drill into individual records, which is time-consuming. A simple monthly grid would let managers and HR admins instantly see who is off, when, and whether there are any clashes — making day-to-day leave management and forward planning significantly faster. |
