Ripple "Date" - Merge Tags from Logbooks in wrong format

Merge tags taken from Logbooks and used in Ripples - the date format comes through in American date format and cannot be changes to local UK. Can this be looked into, as it would be a better feature if the dates actually came through in the correct format.
