Be able to write a query to show the date a salary change was made/new salary added

Currently the 'Salary Updated Date' only shows a date where someone changes an existing salary (i.e. a correction). It is not possible to include in a query the date that someone added a new salary to an employee record. So it is not possible to have a query pick up salary changes that have been made in the current month but have been backdated.

I can run a query that shows me when a work pattern was changed, when a joiner was added to the system, when a leaver was processed, it should be the same for salary changes.

Describe the Challenge When I run a query to update payroll with all salary changes in the month, I should be able to include salary changes made in the current month but effective previously (backdated) so they aren't missed for payroll.

You can use salary created field which shows the date the new salary record was physically created in the system or use the effective date when the salary was to be paid from. You can then filter the date to whatever timeframes you need, e.g. Last month and this month
