Query absences by individual days

I want to be able to run a query that shows the hours absent each day, not the total for the absence. As an example, if someone is absent from 10 to 14 February, I'd like to see a line of data with the number of hours for each day (Monday 10th - 7.5, Tuesday 11th - 6, Wednesday 12th - 7.5 hours) so we can see hours per days absent for someone with a variable work pattern without having to look it up manually from their work pattern.
