Would be really helpful if we could specify what we wish to be notified about via notifications. Right now we sift through a lot of spam notifications that are unnecessary for what we are looking for.

For my company we use the notifications tab to alert us of when employees change their personal information, i.e. change of address when they move and then we can update our payroll information.
We currently get notifications whenever an employee adds something to their logbook screen, which is quite often in our set-up, so the notifications tab is flooded with entries that we don't need to see.
I thought it might be helpful if there was a filter that could be applied so we can choose to only see notifications from personal tabs or from certain logbook screens if we were to search for a key word.

It would be really helpful to understand a bit more about your experience—what do you typically go to the notification area for? What kind of information are you usually looking for, and why? Also, is there anything shown there that you find unnecessary or not particularly useful?
