Pending / yet to be authorised holiday request status needs to be much clearer and obvious to staff, and in the planner

Holiday Requests!! Yet again we have had an employee not turn up for work thinking his holiday had been authorised when it was still pending. In the app, the default green umbrella symbol was taken as meaning 'green/authorised'. Only by drilling down into further screens and scrolling down off what is initially visible on a smart phone, can someone see that a request is not authorised. The 'pending' status needs to be much clearer on the initial app screen that shows both requested and authorised holiday requests together and all with the green umbrella adjacent - at the very least separate pending onto a different tab than authorised but i would much rather see any 'pending' request very loudly coloured in Amber with a warning triangle and with the words' holiday not yet authorised' adjacent, and likewise any holiday that has been authorised, has a nice big green tick and the words 'holiday request authorised' adjacent but on the same screen. The default green umbrella must go!

Likewise in the office planner screen, we cannot tell at a glance if a day has pending requests. We have to hover over each name listed and scrutinise. What about a rag system or each day in the planner Green outline for all requests on that day are authorised, Amber outline for any requests pending, and red if day is locked out.
