It would be really useful if we you could allow the senior manager visibility of the appraisal once this has been completed by the employee and manager so they can view, add their comments and sign off the appraisal.

I agree with this, but would also like to have employee comments visible to the employee and the manager, but the managers comments not visible to the employee until the appraisal is completed, comments updated and published.
