Include both direct and indirect people on queries/reports

We would like to have function to allow both direct and indirect reports to be included. Currently we have to add a filter for the 'Reports To' field to specifically name the managers. This isn't practical when we have larger teams to means we may miss some people. There is no other common field that be used in our structure.

Having the function to include all people within a specific team/area, would then enable us to use more Ripples.
