I understand that the Planner can be downloaded into Outlook, however it opens as a new calendar, which does not allow for notifications.
| Describe the Challenge | When a user creates a holiday request, could the system generate and email the user a .ics file for them to open, and then give them the option to add that holiday event to their primary Outlook calendar, therefore giving visibility on their primary calendar and any linked mobiles calendars. This is important as our staff are used to looking at their primary Outlook calendars for when they had holidays booked from when it used to be added automatically by our previous system. The risk of booking business events (meetings/site visits) on leave days is greatly increased now. |
