It would be really useful if there was a 'test' button for ripples.
When trying to create ripples and see if they are working in the right way you have to wait a long time for them to run and activate. Also if you are making changes and want to test again after your changes you have to use the repeat function which might mean you are changing how you expect it to run.

I use a sand box site for some but main site for some too. I spec the ripple just to come through to me at first so i know it is working in terms of email layout and formatting. You can add the ripple manually to your own profile which prompts it to fire a lot faster i have found.
