We would be more efficient in our support to our organisation if we could switch to view with different permissions. This could either be 'view as _specific name_' or generally as a manager or employee.
Describe the Challenge | It would prevent a need to call and screenshare or could mean we do not need to contact PeopleHR support due to being able to troubleshoot in their view. |
Absolutely back this idea. Was about to add it myself as I have been up and down like a yo-yo to view things from an employee's screen this morning. Other systems we have allow 'log-in as' functionality and it saves such a lot of time and allows us to resolve queries and issues faster.
My way around this for demos and process maps was setting up a Test Colleague profile, its quite helpful if you need something in the short term.
However being able to cycle between admin/colleague views would be better long term as a dummy profile impacts both license's and analytics - as we need to make sure any reports exclude this profile.
Would be really beneficial when asked for "How to do" advice from employees
I support this as a basic requirement.
Support this 100%
It is so difficult providing advice on the system when employees view it one way, and admins another.
This is an excellent idea. When you have admin status, you cannot see what an employee or manager has access to. I would welcome this option.
+1
I would welcome this. As a member of the HR team I'm often asked for support on PHR, and it would be useful if I was able to see what the member of staff in question was seeing, rather than my admin level options.
Great idea - I can impersonate my employees in other systems and it is so helpful. For People HR, I need to sit with a manager to see their view, or ask employees to let me see what they can see if they have quesitons and queries. Makes responding to any queries much quicker and efficient.
The current system of "impersonation" is very long winded and requires the colleague to provide permission etc. In other systems (Hi-Bob) you can "log in as" to be able to see what they can see and do. You edit personal details or add/delete holiday in this view - its a view only.
