Rehire Employee with Amended Continuous Service Date

When rehiring staff the system will not let you amend their continuous service date without prompting you to delete all their old absence data. We need to retain this absence data for audit purposes. Therefore, the only way to rehire the employee and keep this data, is to create another employee record. For seasonal staff this means that some people will end up with multiple employee records in the system. It would be great if this could be amended so that we can rehire employees and keep historical data too.

    Hello,

The Continue Service Date for an employee can now be amended when rehiring an employee without needing to remove previous Employee Planner entries or create a new record for the employee.
Thank you for your feedback and for helping us improve our application.

    Best Regards,

    PeopleHR Product Team

We have had issues with this as well. You can delete the continuous service date and keep the absence data, but then every time you run queries etc you have to remember which staff had continuous service dates that are different from their start dates which then messes up everything and is a pain.
