Set the due date for an appraisal

We want to be able to set the date for the Appraisal to be due and the associate task this creates for the line manager of each employee. Currently the appraisal date is set on the anniversary of the employees start date, this does not work for us, we want the ability to set the appraisal date ourselves (each November). The tasks automatically generated for line managers to arrange their team’s appraisal are currently meaningless, as the date set was automatically by the system. Our line managers are getting tasks that they have to either ignore (which is not ideal) or mark as completed even though an appraisal hasn’t been completed it’s a waste of time and effort. This means they have little confidence in the tasks set for them in PeopleHR when we are encouraging them to use the software more effectively.
We have PeopleHR and there is no way to set up the appraisal date, it was told to add it as a task when I set a new employee up, but that doesn’t work as it wants a number of days before or after their start date rather than a fixed month. Not that this would have helped all those of us already employed.
Please not our staff have regular (monthly) 1 2 1 with their line managers, end of month 1 & 2 meeting with HR, end of probation meeting and a planned induction process, the appraisal dates need to fit into our HR process.
