Global update for paid discretionary day (for Christmas office closure)

Please may I make a suggestion that People HR to have a simple system that shows organisations who close the office for the Christmas period and offer their staff a paid discretionary day/s holiday. The day/s off would be paid holidays and would not affect the holiday entitlement.


I would like to show this discretionary day on the Planner as blocked off in a colour or icon.

The current advice I received from People HR seemed very complicated eg. to bulk upload and then crediting each employee the day/s holiday !


I previously used E-Days - where they had a very simple system which just colour coded the discretionary day/s on the planner. No deductions, no credits, just a colour to show the day/s are closed eg. 'office closure.
