Need more options on queries such as IS NOT and the ability to filter on weekend dates

I often have queries that I need to write, especially for Ripples, where I don't have the flexibility I need in the query builder. I need an IS NOT option i.e. the date was not yesterday or today, and I need a weekend option i.e. the date was not the weekend. Please!
