We have to manually check all Bradford Factor scores as People HR will only add in a sickness absence to the Bradford factor score if an employee has not other event on the same day. (i.e. if an employee booked a morning off as sick, was due to work in the afternoon but calls in sick, the system won't add the sickness for this day to the Bradford Factor calculation as the morning was booked as holiday.) Sickness should still be recorded as part of a Bradford factor score, not matter what else an employee books in for the same day. The system is therefore giving inaccurate information, which employee's could consider as a “loophole”. Luckily, we manually check sickness absence, but we should not need to do this as it inefficient and adds extra work to our team. Therefore the system should calculate any sickness absence recorded into the Bradford score, no matter what else happens on that day.
Describe the Challenge | Efficiency in time with not having to do manual checks, accuracy in reporting Bradford Factor and managing sickness absence |
I agree this seems like a logical update and would be helpful ensuring we do not miss any instances and also so that the employee can see the same score as any manual adjustment we have to make.
