When introducing a bulk upload salary increase to all employees by % or fixed amount include a date field so the option to put a "valid from" date would save you having to go into every individual employees account to update this if you were implementing in advance ie your financial year runs from Jan - Dec you would like to get this admin in place in November / December to notify staff for the increase to commence from the 1st January.

Our annual pay settlement comes into effect on 1 Aug but doesn't get agreed until October as Trade Unions are involved and it's a protracted process. I then have to manually input a new salary and effective date against EVERY SINGLE employee which is crazy!
