Using Access Employee Performance to manage Probation periods

Employees should be issued with objectives that they need to meet in order to pass their probation. It would be good if these could be managed through the Access Employee Performance bolt-on. At the moment, there's no way to tag a new starter, which means it's not possible to set up a Probation Review in the Performance Reviews. So, the only option is to use Logbooks to log probation reviews, but they don't give the option to add objectives. So, it means setting and managing objectives in Access Employee Performance, and reviewing performance in Logbooks. It would be better if it was all in one place.
