Employee Performance Module - Some nice features, but the Review feature needs work

The new Employee Performance has some great features like Check-Ins and the ability to set company objectives and align personal goals to those objectives. However, functionally, the Review feature needs some work:

Major Issues:

  1. When the employee or manager clicks "Complete" after entering responses, it closes the review permanently and it cannot be reopened to edit.

    1. There are only two options when advancing through the review - "Save and Close" or "Complete".

    2. Naturally, a person might be inclined to hit "Complete" when they are finished their responses, and there is no warning or indication that this will close the review permanently. This is a huge design flaw.

    3. I'll state one more time: There is no way to open a review once the employee or manager has clicked "Complete". Neither the employee, nor the manager, or an Admin can undo this. Please fix this! :(

  2. There is no option to provide instructions, just add questions. This is also a problem especially given the flaw noted in point 1.a. above!

    1. And, even the questions are limited to 100 characters, it is difficult to use the "question" field as a workaround for providing instructions.

Less Important

  1. The question options are limited to just open text or a number sliding scale - this could be improved with additional options.

  2. Questions cannot be re-ordered, but added in the order they should appear to the user. This is not ideal.

  3. The question field is limited to 100 characters, and could stand to be lengthened.

  4. The manager and employee feedback is immediately visible to the other party after being saved and closed - having a "draft" mode would be very helpful.

  5. Being able to set criteria or assign reviews would be a huge plus.

    1. Right now, reviews are automatically made available to anyone designated as a User role in the Employee Performance module.

    2. We are using tags to include or exclude people, but must remember to update tags to ensure reviews are assigned appropriately. This is a manual task and not very efficient.

Lofty Dream

  1. Managers would love the ability to see all of their Teams performance in a comparative viewing format.
