Each year we run into the same issue. We hold annual performance reviews and set deadline/completion dates. For explanation sake, lets call this: 2022 review.
Once the 2022 review has been closed and the completion date has past (31.12.2022), the way the system works is that employees can still select the the 2022 review within their performance review tab, even if the date is 14/11/2023.
To fix this, so employees can begin the 2023 reviews, and not select the 2022 review in error, I need to remove all employee names in the performance settings, and assign the 2022 performance review to a specific employee, so that all other employees cannot see the 2022 review as a selection within their profile.
This does not make sense. If the completion date in the settings has passed. It would make more sense that the system did not display old performance reviews when employees start a new performance review within their profile. Come year 2025... We do not want employees to be able to start a 2022 review or a 2023 review...
Describe the Challenge | As above, the 'fix' is not a solution. |
I agree. There should also be an option for admin to archive closed review templates in the performance settings as my list of templates is now quite long due to having different reviews for different areas yearly.
However, the Performance review process here is quite restricting at a time when most companies are moving to a continuous review process. A short term fix would be helpful but please look at improving the overall process.
